The mission of Menard County Soil & Water Conservation District is to assist in the coordination and implementation of conservation projects and to educate and promote the responsible stewardship of its natural resources.
Our vision is to protect and enhance soil, water, and forest resources to provide wildlife habitat and maintain sustainable croplands. We can achieve this through cost effective and efficient county, state, and federal level partnerships. The SWCD has a unique leadership role, representing the local community through an elected board of citizens devoted to conservation. Our goal is to continue to be a trusted source of educational, technical, and financial assistance for landowners, farmer, and all other residents of Menard County.
